About Me

Taylor Huff, RD, RYT 200
AKA Tayoga

My love for yoga began in 2015 after I sustained a knee injury that required surgery. Shortly after my recovery, one of my friends mentioned she was going to a yoga class. I thought it would be the perfect form of exercise since my injury hindered me from doing other forms of exercise. Yoga started out merely as a way to stay in shape; however, it has gradually evolved into something so much more. It is beneficial not only to my physical well-being but also my mental well-being. I loved yoga so much that I completed my 200 hour Teacher Training through Elevate Community Yoga in April 2018. It is one of the best decisions I made, since now I get to share my love for yoga with others.

I currently teach a Vinyasa Flow class Friday mornings at Elevate Community Yoga in Roseburg Square. After my first son was born, I started a Kids Yoga class at the Dragonfly-Art For Life in downtown Modesto. This class is also on Fridays. Fridays are clearly the best day of the week! When teaching these classes, my intention for the class is to help the students feel good... simple... but oh so important. I truly feel that no matter the reason someone attends a yoga class, it all boils down to wanting to feel good - whether physical or mental.

There is more to my life than yoga! I am happily married to my best friend, Andrew. We have 2 little boys, Edison and Thelonious. While we live in Modesto, we love to travel to new places (where I usually try out a yoga class if the kiddos allow it!). Apart from being a Yoga teacher, I am also a Clinical Dietitian. And the last, but one of the most important things you need to know about me... drum roll please... my absolute favorite color is ORANGE! It has been since I was in elementary school. There's just something so happy about the color orange and who doesn't want to be happy, right? And yes, I do have an orange yoga mat and probably anything else you can think of!

Yoga is truly one of the best decisions I have ever made. Maybe it could be for you, too?
