Tayoga Tap Takeover

Ok... so it's not really a tap takeover, because there are no taps to take over and it is only one beer BUT it is the first ever Tayoga Brew! A friend of ours, Aaron, is a home brewer. I knew he was the right man to help make Tayoga Brew because he also brewed a delicious Milk Stout for our wedding.  A couple Saturday's ago, Andrew and I went over to Aaron's house to begin the brewing process. It wasn't easy like I thought it was going to be. I figured I'd get to drink beer and, every once in a while, I'd toss a new ingredient in. That was not the case! Aaron made sure I understood what I was doing, so I was quizzed throughout the entire process (I passed with flying colors, in case you were wondering). I also had to grind coriander with a mortar and pestle and stir for quite some time while we added the malt (and there was LOTS of malt)! I lucked out, though, since he bought a new stirring spoon - I hear the old one was quite irritating! After everything was

Branching Out

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Andrew and I had a very full weekend. I feel like we need a weekend from our weekend! Luckily, for me, the weekend was packed full of yoga fun! I taught my usual Friday class at Elevate Community Yoga, and after, headed downtown to the Dragonfly Art for Life Studio - which recently opened in Modesto on J street. I met with the owner, Barbara, to discuss bringing free 30 minute lunch-time yoga classes to the community. Barbara seemed excited about the idea. I am very excited about it, but I will touch more on this later! Saturday was also a busy day, but the highlight was definitely my Classic Rock Yoga Experience at Elevate! 30 people showed up to rock n' flow and it was so fun. I was a nervous wreck the whole time, but it was a good nervous. I'm trying to branch out and do new things in regards to yoga. This was a good start. A couple weeks ago, I subbed for a heated Vinyasa flow class at Excel Crossfit in Manteca.

Tayoga Classic Rock Experience

You read that right! Tayoga will be flowing to Classic Rock hits at Elevate Community Yoga next month! Are you as excited as I am? You may be wondering where this idea came from...the answer...my hubby! He is a big-time Classic Rock fan. You may remember that he is not a huge fan of yoga, but he loves me, so he puts up with my shenanigans. A while back, he told me he would go to at least 3 more of my yoga classes: Beer yoga (2 of my favorite things combined), Games of Thrones yoga (last season comes out in April!), and Classic Rock yoga. I didn't realize I would be doing a Classic Rock class but now is the perfect time. It is Teacher Training time at Elevate Community Yoga, so lots of pop-up classes are being added to the schedule. I hope you pop-in for a pop-up class, even if it is not my Classic Rock class. I promise you won't regret it. If you are interested in a far-out yoga experience, check out the details below. Peace!
