Tayoga Conversation with Kaycie Hall

If you are involved in the Modesto Yoga Community you have most likely heard the name Kaycie. Kaycie is a HUGE part of this community and that is putting things mildly. In this latest Tayoga Conversation, Kaycie and I talk about her yoga journey thus far, our mutual love for Modesto, and what the future has in store for this beloved friend and studio owner. Take a moment out of your busy day and get to know a little but more about this amazing woman. Tayoga: How did you get started with yoga and at what point did you decide to complete teacher training? Kaycie: I started Yoga in 2012 when I decided I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle. I started running (completing my first half marathon), then moved to working out from home through a p90x workout video, where I tried yoga for the first time ever. My first experience with yoga was challenging - I felt like all the postures were out of my physical range and that one would have to be a noodle to get into them. I continued anyway

Workplace Tayoga

Friday was the first official workplace Tayoga. It was held for the employees of the Almond Board of California, which is located on the top floor of the Doubletree Hotel in Modesto. This event came about because one of the employees had attended my free Friday lunchtime yoga at the Dragonfly-Art for Life. It's the degree of stress that seems to vary. Whether you experience a little stress or a lot of stress at work, yoga is always a good idea, in my opinion! The Almond Board brought me in to teach yoga as a way to help the employees relieve stress. This makes me so happy because stress sucks! Count me in for helping others relieve some of that nonsense! I had 10 ladies join me for this 45 minute yoga session. I thought it was going to be chair yoga, but when I walked in, they had their conference room set up with

New Tayoga Things Coming Up

Hi all! I walked into work yesterday irritable and a bit angry. I wasn't quite sure why. At the end of the work day I knew I had to go to yoga to help fix myself up. I pushed myself pretty hard (not too hard of course... I don't need any injuries) and it felt so good. While I was laying in Savasana I came to the conclusion (yes, I was thinking in Savasana) that I was in a bit of a rut when it came to work. My full time job as a Registered Dietitian is considered my "work work" and Tayoga is considered my "fun work." I decided that I hadn't worked on anything new with Tayoga and maybe if I started working on something new it would get me out of the mental rut I have been having recently. I brainstormed a bit with the hubby last night and now I have a couple things brewing which I am quite excited about. Just working on these ideas a little bit have put me in a much better mood today. I will keep you posted about what they are. Let's just say you mig
