Hi all! This is an extra special post because I finally get to tell you all that I am pregnant! Andrew and I are expecting our first little one this September 2020 and we are absolutely thrilled.
To give you a little back story, we found out on Christmas Day. Shortly after that, we headed to Disney World for New Years Eve. I've been bragging that we are the best parents because we have already taken our kid to Disney World (teehee).
It has been a bit of a challenge keeping this a secret. If you know me, you know that the hubby and I love to drink beer. Avoiding that in front of friends was basically impossible, so our friends were the first to find out (sorry sissy). Next to find out the good news was my family - We told them on my Papa's 96th birthday and it was absolutely perfect! I had wrapped up a little note that said great-grand baby #15 was arriving in September 2020. He was so excited and everyone was so surprised. My mama started crying she was so happy. After my family, we told Andrew's family. We pretended like we were giving his parents Gallo Theater tickets when it was really a little birth announcement that grand baby #1 was on the way! My mother-in-law was so excited her practically jaw dropped to the floor. It was great!
Our first appointment was last week at 12 weeks. I really liked the doctor, but, as you can probably guess, my favorite part was seeing our baby for the first time! He/she was a little wiggle worm but the doc managed to get an excellent picture of our little one giving us a wave. It was surreal.
Now for the yoga part! The day after my appointment, I taught at Elevate and was prepared to share the good news! I prepared my "Baby, Baby" playlist, which included all songs that featured the word "baby." I told everyone there was a special theme to the playlist but said it was up to them to figure it out. The theme of the flow was core since my core will only get larger and larger as the months go on. At the end of class, some had figured it out while others were unsure. However, everyone was on the same page when I stood up and had my "Mama Tayoga" shirt on (see picture below). I got lots of "awwwwwws" and "congratulations." The playlist was perfect and definitely my style. I am so blessed to have people in my life that are excited for Andrew and I.
As a special thank you to show that I love all of the support we have been receiving, I have included the "Baby, Baby" playlist below. I hope it puts a smile on your face. Happy Monday, my friends.
Namas(tay).
