Amid all the world's craziness, I felt so much joy this weekend. This past Thursday, I had my 20 week ultrasound and anatomy scan at my OB's office. I was a bit bummed because Andrew was not able to go in with me due to Coronavirus precautions. He still went, but had to wait outside the building. He even got all dressed up for the occasion (see picture below). Woof.. .he is so handsome! Anyway, we had planned to find out the gender at the appointment. But, since he couldn't go in, I had them put it in an envelope. The appointment went well, and both baby and mama are doing good. It's always amazing to see the ultrasound with your baby moving around in there!
After the appointment, I hurried outside to Andrew so we could open the envelope. As you may have guessed from the title of this blog... IT'S A BOY! We are so very excited! I even decided to tell the nurses working the front door at the doctors office. They were excited, too. Why is finding out the gender so exciting? I mean, it can only be one of two options...
We decided to keep the gender our little secret for a day and had the gender reveal the next day. I bought some blue balloons and had the family over (to stand 6 feet apart in the front yard, of course). I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but at the last minute, Andrew and I decided to stand behind the garage door holding the balloons and then open the garage for the big reveal. It worked out great (see my video on Facebook or Instagram if you're interested)! It was so fun to have everyone there and happy. The toughest part was not hugging anyone, especially my mama. I guess it will just make the post-quarantine hugs all the better!
Next step... picking out a name! Wish us luck!
Since this is a yoga blog this will be my one paragraph about yoga on this post - new YouTube Tayoga video goes up tomorrow! I'll be wearing blue yoga pants with the blue balloons in the background. You can probably guess why. 💙
Have a great week, my friends!
