Just a Couple Thoughts

Normally an idea comes to me for this blog by the time Monday rolls around. That is not the case this week, so I'm just going to write down a few of my thoughts - since everyone seems to have a lot of time with their thoughts these days.

Thought # 1 - I miss people. It isn't bad working from home (especially while pregnant), but I miss being around people the majority of the time. When I'm around people all the time it makes the quiet days seem like a special treat.

Thought # 2 - Feeling baby kicks have been keeping me "oh so happy" throughout all this nonsense. Andrew enjoys feeling them, too. Definitely the best part about pregnancy. The little guy is actually kicking as I write this!

Thought # 3 - I love downtown Modesto. Andrew and I went to pick up sandwiches from the Brighter Side last week (YES, THEY ARE OPEN AGAIN!) and it was the first time I saw downtown in over a month. Oh, the fun memories! I can't wait until going downtown is a regular activity again.

Thought # 4 - Doing a full 75 minute yoga practice at home is hard! Haha. It just goes to show you that the energy of a yoga studio has a huge impact on my practice. Part of the problem may be that I'm 22 weeks pregnant, but for now I'm going to blame it on the lack of yogis around me.

Thought # 5 - My home practice has definitely improved, even if the flows are shorter than usual. I didn't have much of a home practice before this. Even now, it's only 1-3 times a week but it has definitely improved. Once I actually get on my mat, I'm happy. It's the getting there that challenges me. Having a home practice is definitely beneficial in multiple ways - physical, emotional, inspirational. Let's just say I'm coming up with a few new ideas for teaching. Fingers crossed that I get to use them before baby boy arrives. If not, the new ideas will have to wait until after.

Well, there you go. A few thoughts rolling around in the head of Tayoga. Can't wait to see you all again.

Cheers and Namas(tay).
